Tour details
Experience a unique journey in Tunisia for the total solar eclipse on 2 August 2027, combining one of the most spectacular astronomical phenomena with a comprehensive cultural and scenic tour of some of the country’s most iconic destinations.

One of the main highlights of this trip will be the location chosen to experience the eclipse. In Sfax, situated within the path of totality, we will enjoy an extraordinary 5 minutes and 41 seconds of totality—an exceptional amount of time to admire the solar corona and fully experience the darkness of daytime. By comparison, this is more than one additional minute of totality compared with the approximately 4 minutes and 40 seconds expected in the Strait of Gibraltar area. A particularly significant difference when every second of totality counts.

This 5-day / 4-night tour has been designed for a small group, offering a comfortable, carefully planned and personalised experience. Throughout the journey, we will stay in selected 4- and 5-star hotels on a full-board basis, ensuring an excellent level of comfort after each day’s activities.

The tour begins in Tunis with a visit to historic Carthage and the charming Mediterranean village of Sidi Bou Said, before continuing to the impressive Amphitheatre of El Jem, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there, we will travel to Sfax, our chosen location for the unforgettable day of eclipse observation.

After experiencing this exceptional astronomical event, we will continue exploring Tunisia’s coastline and destinations such as Sousse and Hammamet, combining historical heritage, medinas, fortresses, Mediterranean landscapes and Tunisia’s renowned hospitality.

The programme includes accommodation in 4- and 5-star hotels, private minibus transportation, a professional English-speaking guide, and the main visits and entrance fees specified in the itinerary, allowing you to enjoy the journey with complete peace of mind thanks to comprehensive organisation throughout.

A proposal that goes far beyond simply watching an eclipse: traveling to a prime location to enjoy nearly six minutes of totality and turning a once-in-a-lifetime astronomical event into an unforgettable cultural and travel experience.

Observations

A WhatsApp group with the guides will be set up two months before the trip begins to plan all activities in detail and answer any questions from clients.
